System Integration
Hardcat can be integrated with other systems, such as SAP and Oracle Financials, utilising the rich import and export interface. Additionally by using the Hardcat API custom software can be developed that integrates Hardcat with other packages. An example of this is the direct integration of Hardcat with MS Active Directory.


Pocket PC
Hardcat puts asset management in the palm of your hand with Pocket PC and Windows CE on handheld PDA units. Depending on your requirements, the PDA can process batch records or alternatively update the database live via wireless networking. Using Hardcat’s specially designed PDA software, the one device can potentially handle everything from goods receipting, asset or stock auditing through to update of help desk problems or maintenance work orders.


Financials
Hardcat allows the complete control of all assets, whether owned, leased, WIP, depreciating, or fully depreciated. The system allows the tracking of every detail from purchase price, through all operating expenses during the asset’s life, to final sale proceeds and profit/loss on disposal. Depending on the modules purchased, the user can also run a range of forecasts, including depreciation, purchasing, future maintenance costs, etc. This enables the user to enjoy complete control and ability to report on Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment.


Web Interface
Hardcat has various standard web interfaces that allow you to access your data simply and efficiently from remote locations. Access can be controlled through Hardcat’s security interface. As well as the available standard web pages, specific customizations can be undertaken to tailor any interface to your exact requirements. All Hardcat functions can be provided via the web.


Databases
Hardcat supports the four main database systems; Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 & Sybase. Hardcat also provides the tools to allow you to convert from any of these platforms directly into another, e.g. converting a Hardcat Oracle database to an MS SQL Server database, or vice versa.


Auto Discovery Tools
Hardcat integrates seamlessly with various software audit and discovery products. Among these are; GASP, LanDesk, Microsoft SMS and Centennial. The Auto Discovery tools can be used to directly update information within Hardcat, e.g. you may keep track of the physical memory in your computer systems. Hardcat maintains a complete audit trail of all changes made. This gives you the best of both worlds, the Auto Discovery tool controls the software licencing, patching, monitoring etc and Hardcat controls the Hardware, Financials, History as well as the complete control of assets from cradle to grave.
